CampingHacks is operated by SOARING DEMAND. This Privacy Policy explains how CampingHacks handles information when you visit campinghacks.com, contact us, use our resources, or subscribe to receive the First Camping Trip Planner and related emails.

Information We Collect

We may receive information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and message when you use a contact form. After email capture is activated, we will collect the email address and consent evidence needed to deliver the First Camping Trip Planner, administer the subscription, and send the emails described at the point of signup.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to collect pseudonymous usage information such as page views, device and browser information, approximate location, traffic source, and interactions with site features. CampingHacks must not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, message text, or other direct identifiers to Google Analytics.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate and secure the site, respond to requests, understand site performance, improve camping guidance, deliver requested resources, administer subscriptions, measure approved affiliate interactions, prevent fraud and misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

When approved affiliate links are activated, we may record an aggregate affiliate-click event on CampingHacks, and Amazon may process activity on its services under its own policies. Email Communications

Unsubscribe requests will be honored promptly and no later than 10 business days. A minimum suppression record may be retained to prevent future sends after an unsubscribe.

Retention and Deletion

Resolved contact-form submissions will be deleted or de-identified within 24 months unless a longer period is required for one of those purposes.

Active subscriber and consent records are retained while subscribed. After unsubscribe, only the minimum suppression record needed to honor the opt-out is retained. Verified deletion requests will be completed within 30 days unless retention is legally required or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

Data removed from active systems may remain in encrypted backups until ordinary backup rotation completes and will not be restored except for disaster recovery.

Children's Privacy

CampingHacks is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Your Choices and Requests

You may unsubscribe through the link in any commercial email. You may request access, correction, or deletion through Contact. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as CampingHacks changes. The effective date will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes will be communicated when appropriate.
